Your Role as A Teacher

Have someone ever asks you, "What is your role as a teacher?".
Starting from your role as a teacher in the classroom, you will act as:

1. A planner; namely planning everything you will do or will give to your students. 
   
2. An implementer; namely implementing everything that you have planned before. 
3. An evaluator; namely rating the level of success of the teaching and learning process.

 In a broader sense, education includes the entire process of life of an individual with all his/her interaction with the environment either formally (in school) or informally (in the neighborhood).  He/she does the interaction in order to actualize himself/herself in accordance with the life developmental tasks optimally. In this insight, you, as a teacher, have a different tasks:

1. Conservator. Namely, maintaining the values (value system) which is a reference of maturity.
2. Innovator. Namely, finding or developing new values.
3. Transmitter. Namely, forwarding those values to their students.
